Date: November 25, 2020

Today the Seminary closes early, at 2:00 p.m. It is a small gesture of gratitude to our employees as they prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving. We want them to have a little extra time to make their way to their destinations for this delightful holiday. Living life with a sense of gratitude is a basic Christian disposition. There is a miracle in the gift of every single moment of living. Human beings are a marvel – the capacity to think, see, feel, move, love, and laugh is extraordinary. Christians believe that at the heart of the universe is intention and love that invites us all into a relationship. As a part of that relationship, we should, very single day, thank God for the gift of that day. Living life in awe and with gratitude are basic and fundamental to the journey of faith. So enjoy this holiday. This one will be different because of the pandemic. But the message of the day is timeless. Let us all life into that truth. Have a blessed Thanksgiving, everyone. The Very Rev. Ian S. Markham, Ph.D. Dean and President
