Date: October 21, 2020

Two weeks ago, Lesley, Luke, and I went and voted in the 2020 election. We made the journey to Old Town, went to 132 North Royal Street, Suite 100, walked in, and cast our ballots. Our decision for this year’s election has been made. Our votes are in the system. There were no lines; it was not overly busy. Hopefully our decision to vote early will make it easier for others to vote on November 3. Virginia offers “in person” early voting until October 31.  It is important to participate in these civic moments. America aspires to be a country where the leadership is elected by the people. However, for this to be true, it does depend on participation. Each of us making the effort is an essential part of that process. So I invite us to create the space in our lives to participate in this election. The Very Rev. Ian S. Markham, Ph.D. Dean and President
