Tomorrow we will have the privilege of welcoming to VTS an extraordinary incoming class of 40 new full-time students, hailing from 22 dioceses across the USA and five international countries (Dominican Republic, India, Kenya, Liberia, and Mexico). After months of discerning, applying, waiting, reading, packing, and moving, these 24 Master in Divinity, 5 Master of Arts, 4 Anglican Studies, 2 Diploma in Theology, and 5 Pathway to Ministry students are finally ready to begin their VTS adventure. We know you will give them all a warm welcome.
This year we also have an amazing group of students serving as proctors: Tom Conroy (St. George), Gregory Cross (Price), Chloe Selles (Moore/Johns), and Gavin Tomlin (Madison) are heading up the residence halls, while Maria Teresa Bautista Vargas (Silver Maple), Joel Martinez (Vickery/Murray), and Chris Micklewright (Maywood/White Oak) are covering the apartments. In addition, Mike Alford is serving as International Student Proctor to assist our international students with navigating the challenges they will face while acclimating to life at VTS. This stellar lineup of student leaders will work closely with me to keep things running smoothly for residents.
