Hospitality is at the heart of the VTS mission. We do it well. We provide lovely accommodation in our guest houses. The refectory provides delicious meals; and you can start every morning in an act of corporate worship, which is either morning prayer or the Eucharist.
In addition, students are good at welcoming the guest. Without exception, visitors talk about the warmth of the students and their willingness to take time to talk to them.
So, it is a joy to welcome the Living Church Foundation to Virginia Theological Seminary. The Living Church magazine is now the only print publication of the Episcopal Church. Under the leadership of the current and previous editors (Drs. Matthew Olver and Christopher Wells), it has positioned itself as a deeply thoughtful organ of theological discussion, which is both accessible and simultaneously has depth. We’re grateful that they made the journey to Alexandria. We’re delighted to have them with us and I invite everybody to give them all a very warm welcome.
