- This collection consists of the oral history interview with the first African American Bishop of the Diocese of Ohio, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Arthur B. Williams Jr., conducted in 2009. Williams’ interview covers his personal and familial life as a native of Rhode Island, his education and career in the Navy, his lifelong service to the church, and his advocacy work with several social justice movements.
