Center for Anglican Communion Studies Research Fellows

Date: July 21, 2021

In addition to the faculty fellows whom we wrote about yesterday, CACS is also grateful to have two research fellows: the Rev. William Sachs, Ph.D., senior research fellow, and Wanjiru Gitau, Ph.D., fellow in international ecumenism.

Dr. Sachs is an author, consultant, teacher, and Episcopal priest. He is interim rector at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Culpeper, VA, and directs the Center for Interfaith Reconciliation in Richmond, VA.

Dr. Gitau is a professor of practical theology and world Christianity at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She earned her Ph.D. in World Christianity from the School of Intercultural Studies, Africa International University, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Dr. Sachs and Dr. Gitau together are working on a history of the Seminary’s role in international mission to mark the Bicentennial in 2023.  You can read more about the vision and scope of the research in the latest issue of the VTS magazine, available online here.

Dr. Sachs and Dr. Gitau are not only gifted researchers, writers, and presenters, but are also engaging and lively individuals and we are glad to have them with us in CACS.
