Rumi Forum Scriptural Reasoning

Date: September 14, 2022

Yesterday we celebrated the launch of the Center for Anglican Communion Studies’ 25th anniversary year, and tomorrow evening we observe the first event of the CACS fall season. CACS is partnering this year with the Rumi Forum to host monthly sessions of Scriptural Reasoning, a practice of interfaith scriptural study done by Muslims, Jews, and Christians with each other’s sacred texts. This first session is tomorrow, Thursday, September 15 at 6:30-8:00pm. This event will be both in-person in the Lettie Pate Evans Room and virtually via Zoom.  Make sure to register here by 4:00pm today to reserve your place.

Rigorous interfaith dialogue is both difficult and beautiful. While we are being formed as Christian leaders in a Christian seminary, learning to seriously engage with those outside our tradition enriches our understanding of ourselves and challenges the sinful misconceptions we often have of others. I invite you to commit to this holy work as you can as a crucial part of your formation.

If you are unable to attend tomorrow, visit the CACS Eventbrite to view and register for all CACS events, including future sessions of Scriptural Reasoning with the Rumi Forum.
